450 Class
Jett Lawrence
Jett Lawrence enters High Point with the points lead for the first time in 2026 and with the opportunity to tie Bob Hannah for fourth all time in 450 MX overall wins with 27. Jett has a nearly unblemished record at High Point. He has raced there five times between both classes and has won the last four in a row. His only non-win was a second place finish in his first visit to the venue in 2021.
If Jett can win a fourth 450 overall in a row at High Point, he would join Ricky Carmichael as the only two riders to have a class win streak of at least four at the venue. Carmichael’s streak was six (2002-2007).
Hunter Lawrence
High Point has treated Hunter Lawrence well over the course of his career. It is where he earned his first moto victory, moto one of the 250 class in 2019. He has raced there six times in total and has podiumed in five of those. He has finished on the moto podium in ten of twelve motos there, including the last eight in a row. On a 450, he has three second place moto finishes and one third.
Hunter finished 4-4 last weekend for third. The last time he finished off the moto podium in any moto was in 2025 at Washougal where he went 5-4. He responded the following weekend at Ironman by getting back on the moto podiums with a 2-2 and winning his first 450 overall. He will look to bounce back onto the box again with a win at High Point.
Haiden Deegan
Haiden Deegan has three career starts at High Point and has finished worse than second place in a moto just one time, a sixth in moto two of his first visit there in 2023. Since 2023, he has gone 1-2-1-1 in the motos including a second place and an overall win. Deegan has finished on pole position in all three of his visits to the venue.
Coming off a sixth place at Thunder Valley, his streak of 25 straight top five finishes was snapped. The last time he had finished outside the top five was at Budds Creek during his rookie season in 2023. He responded by finishing second at the following round and then winning the first three races to start the 2024 season. Despite the sixth, he is still trending upwards with three moto podiums in his last four motos.
Garrett Marchbanks
Garrett Marchbanks is off to the best start to a season in his 450 MX career. He has four straight motos with a finish of sixth or better and is entering a venue, High Point, where he earned his best career 450 moto finish, 2nd, back in 2023. His points haul at Thunder Valley was 36 which is the most he has ever scored at a round on a 450.
Marchbanks has three top five overall finishes aboard a 450 and two of those have come this season. His best ever timed qualifying result in the class came at High Point in 2023 where he set the third fastest lap time. His one other top five qualifying finish came this season at Fox Raceway (5th).
Jorge Prado
Jorge Prado made his way back towards the front at Thunder Valley. If it wasn’t for a penalty in the first moto, he would have had two top five moto finishes at a race for the second time in his AMA career. Prado will hope to better his day at High Point in 2025 as it was tied for his worst overall finish of the season.
KTM doesn’t have the best history at High Point. Just two wins and eight podiums in the 450 class. Their last win came by way of Blake Baggett in 2017.
R.J. Hampshire
R.J. Hampshire has fourteen starts in 450 MX and still has yet to finish outside the top ten overall. He finished eighth at Thunder Valley which was his worst finish since High Point last season. He has been doing his damage this season in moto one, averaging a finish of 5.33 while averaging a finish of 7.33 in the second motos.
He will be aiming to get back into the top five at High Point as he had a seven race top five streak from last season snapped at the beginning of this season at Fox Raceway. He has been close with 7-6-8 finishes so far this season.
250 Class
Levi Kitchen
Levi Kitchen will wear the red plate at High Point for the first time in his 250 MX career. He is tied with his teammate, Seth Hammaker, with 117 points. Kitchen will need to improve his High Point results if he wants to keep his lead. He averages a finish of 8.25 there with no laps led and one podium. It’s tied for his second worst track outdoors.
Before 2025, Kitchen had never finished better than ninth overall there but turned it around last season by going 2-6 for third. He broke through last year and will aim to build off that in 2026. If Kitchen can earn another podium, he would tie Pennsylvania native, Broc Hepler, with 17 250 MX podiums.
Seth Hammaker
High Point is Seth Hammaker’s second best track in terms of overall average finish (6.50). It was one of three tracks he had led laps at prior to this season. He did that in 2022 where he ended up 4-6 for sixth overall and earned the pole position in qualifying. That sixth was a career best at the time. In 2025, he earned his first career moto podium there with a third in moto one.
Hammaker and his teammate Kitchen have identical stats in multiple categories through three rounds. They have the same moto podiums (4), overall podiums (2), moto wins (2), average moto finish (4.50), pole positions (1), and most importantly, points (117).
Jo Shimoda
Jo Shimoda has quietly been consistent through three rounds this season and it came together with a win at Thunder Valley. Shimoda has the best average moto finish in the class this season (4.17) but is yet to win a moto. We are at the third race in a row where Shimoda has never led a lap.
There are only three tracks on the circuit where he hasn’t led a lap: Hangtown, Thunder Valley, High Point. Shimoda has modest results at High Point, averaging 5.60 overall with only one podium, coming in 2022. He has never finished better than third in a moto there.
Shimoda currently has 28 250 MX podiums. That is tied for the most 125/250 MX podiums by a foreign born rider with Jeff Ward.
Julien Beaumer
Julien Beaumer enters High Point fourth place in points and off to his best start to a season in his young career. Take away his eleventh in moto one at the season opener, he is averaging a moto finish of 4.00 which would be the best in the class. He has a sixth overall at High Point in 2024 but his 2025 start there was one to forget after a huge crash forced him out of moto two.
Beaumer’s speed has been better than ever as he has two top three timed qualifying finishes so far in 2026 while only have two in his entire career before the season.
Nick Romano
Nick Romano sits fifth in points and like a few others in this class, is enjoying the best start to a season of his career. He has finished in the top ten in all three races so far this season. It is the first time he has finished in the top ten three times in a row in his career. He has set a career best overall at two consecutive races, sixth at Hangtown and third at Thunder Valley.
Romano is knocking on the door of his first moto podium. He has finished fourth in two of his last three motos. Romano has an average finish of 17.00 at High Point but his team has had a lot of success there. Kawasaki has the most 250 wins at the venue with 15.
Cole Davies
Cole Davies has endured an up and down season. He has looked dominant at times, especially in his second moto stomping victory and Hangtown. Crashes and bad starts held him back at Thunder Valley and he will surely look to rectify those struggles at his first visit to High Point.
Davies is averaging an overall finish this season of 5.67, fifth best in class. He is one of four riders to earn a moto victory and he is one of three to earn a pole position. His pole position at Thunder Valley was the first of his career.
