450 Class
Jett Lawrence
Jett Lawrence has been perfect at Red Bud in his 450 career. He has swept the motos in both of his appearances in the class and he has finished on the pole position in qualifying both times. He has won five straight motos there dating back to his final 250 moto at the venue.
Coming off a second place finish at High Point, it would be a rare feat for Jett not to bounce back with a win. He has only lost back to back overalls one time in the 450 class and that happened last season when he was docked a lap at Ironman, finishing sixth after a second place at Washougal the race prior.
Jett has 48 moto wins and is one moto win away from breaking a tie with Bob Hannah to gain sole possession of fourth most moto wins all time.
Hunter Lawrence
Hunter Lawrence enters Red Bud fresh off an overall victory and will be searching for his first ever win at the venue. Red Bud is his worst track in terms of overall average finish across both classes (6.88). He has led 48 laps there throughout his career, fourth most of any track he has raced, but has yet to get an overall win. His one moto win came in moto 1 of the 250 class in 2023.
Hunter is currently tied with Andrew Short with 21 overall podiums in the 450 class. One more at Red Bud and he would tie Sebastien Tortelli with 22. His 21 overall podiums in his first 26 starts are tied with Jeff Emig for third most to start a 450 career. Only Jett, Ryan Villopoto, Ryan Dungey, and Ricky Carmichael earned more.
Haiden Deegan
Haiden Deegan earned his first career win at Red Bud in 2023 in the 250 class but that has been his only podium there in three visits. His two finishes since then have both been fifth place overalls. Red Bud is the only track he has ever raced as a professional in MX where he has not led a single lap.
Red Bud was the only race Deegan did not finish second overall or better in 2025. He struggled in moto one with a 14th but bounced back to the moto podium in moto two with a 2nd. Red Bud is the only track Deegan has finished off the podium in back to back years. He’ll try his best to not make it three.
Jorge Prado
Red Bud was the only track in the 2025 season where Jorge Prado led laps in motocross. He took over the lead on lap one in moto two and led the opening six laps of the moto. He ended the day with a sixth overall by way of 7-5 moto scores. Sixth was his second best finish of the season and the fifth in moto two tied his best of the season.
Prado’s starts have been slightly better than 2025 so far in 2026. In the 2025 season, he averaged a lap one position of 8.45 and in 2026 so far, he has averaged a lap one position of 7.38. Although, he did have two holeshots in 2025 but has yet to earn one in 2026.
Aaron Plessinger
One week ago at High Point, Aaron Plessinger earned his first top five finish in either discipline since High Point in 2025. He has earned season best finishes at the previous two rounds and is heading into Red Bud with some momentum.
Plessinger has had good results at Red Bud in the 450 class including two overall podiums and three moto podiums. In 2018, he had a 1-1 day there on a 250. It is one of the six tracks he has led laps on on a 450. Plessinger will be looking to break out of his eight race overall podium drought which is the second longest of his 450 MX career.
Garrett Marchbanks
Garrett Marchbanks has a streak of three straight top ten finishes at Red Bud, two of those coming in the 450 class in 2023 and 2024 with sixth and seventh place finishes respectively. He scored a fifth place in moto two at Red Bud which remains tied for his best second moto finish on a 450.
The one thing still slightly holding Marchbanks back is his starts. He is averaging a lap one position of 14.13 so far but it is actually nearly a one position improvement from his 15.05 average in his 2025 season aboard a 250. He has a net positions gained this season of 46 spots which ranks third most in the class.
250 Class
Levi Kitchen
250 points leader, Levi Kitchen, has a moto victory at Red Bud but only one overall podium finish, a second in 2023. His average finish there is 6.40 and is right in the middle of his rankings at each track on the circuit. He averages a better finish at five tracks and a worse finish at five tracks. His average finish at Red Bud is slightly better than his career average of 6.70.
Kitchen has had good moments at Red Bud. He has finished on the moto podium in each of his last three visits but his other moto in each of those visits hold an average of 10.67.
Jo Shimoda
Jo Shimoda is the reigning 250 winner at Red Bud as he was the first rider to go 1-1 there last year since Jeremy Martin in 2020. Red Bud is one of two venues where Shimoda has multiple overall victories, Unadilla being the other. Despite that, Red Bud (6.14) and Unadilla (11.67) are his worst tracks on the circuit in terms of average finish. He only has one other non-win podium at those two tracks combined.
Shimoda has three moto wins at Red Bud which is tied for his most moto wins at one venue. His lone pole position, in SX and MX, came at Red Bud in 2022, the day of his first career overall win.
Julien Beaumer
Julien Beaumer will enter Red Bud just two points out of the points lead. Beaumer does not have much experience at Red Bud. He has raced it just one time and it was last season where he went 16-13 for 15th overall. That prompted him to sit out a few rounds to fully recover from injuries he had accumulated throughout the year. His speed was good that day as he qualified with the fifth fastest time.
So far in 2026, Beaumer is one of four riders in the class to finish in the top ten at every rounds. His average finish is 3.75, tied for second best in the class. This is a significant improvement as his career average before this season was 12.38. It is the largest such improvement in the entire class.
Cole Davies
Cole Davies will be making his Red Bud professional debut this weekend. He will be looking to become the third rider in four years to win Red Bud in their first appearance at the track. Haiden Deegan (2023) and Chance Hymas (2024) were the other two to do so. It would make a rare feat more common because before Deegan in 2023, only five riders won their first time at Red Bud after it debuted in 1974.
Consistency is the last thing Davies will need to smooth out because he leads the class in moto wins (3), pole positions (2), and is tied for the lead in moto podiums (4) through four rounds. His average moto finish of 5.75 ranks fourth best in class.
Ryder DiFrancesco
Red Bud is Ryder DiFrancesco’s second best track in terms of average overall finish (10.00). It is also the track where he earned his first career pole position, in either discipline, doing so last season. That pole position jump started his day as he would finish sixth overall, his best of that season. He has improved his finish there nearly each season going 13-13-8-6 in his first four visits to the venue.
DiFrancesco is enjoying the best start to a season in his career. He is averaging a finish of 8.00 which is 5.00 positions better than the 13.00 he had in 2025. It is 3.71 positions better than his career average of 11.71.
Unique Red Bud 250 Winners
Red Bud always seems to produce quirky results in the 250 class. The points leader entering Red Bud has not won the overall there since 2018 when Aaron Plessinger went 1-1 while holding the red plate.
In that same stretch since 2018, the race winner of Red Bud has not won the title in that same season.
The race winner in three of the last four races at Red Bud has been their first career overall victory: Jo Shimoda (2022), Haiden Deegan (2023), and Chance Hymas (2024).
