450 Class
Jett Lawrence
Jett Lawrence enters Spring Creek with the red plate as he took it back from his brother Hunter at Southwick. Jett has held the points lead after 26 of the 33 rounds he has raced outdoors on a 450. Jett has won five of his last six motos at Spring Creek dating back to his last year on a 250. He’s led 52/70 laps there on a 450. The only moto he did not lead wire to wire there in the class was moto one in 2025 when he went down early on lap one. He still remounted to finish second, his one non-moto win there since 2021.
Jett (25) is one pole position away from tying Eli Tomac (26) for most all time in the one day format era starting in 2009. He could pass Tomac in career 450 laps led at Spring Creek as well as he is only 21 behind Tomac’s 753. He is one moto podium away from tying Tim Ferry with 62.
Hunter Lawrence
Hunter Lawrence has not finished worse than second in a moto at Spring Creek since moto two in 2022 in the 250 class. Since then, he has moto scores there of 1-2-2-2-1-2. He usurped Jett in moto one last season but lost the tiebreaker for the overall win. In Hunter’s seven total appearances Spring Creek, he has podiumed in five of them. He has 73 laps led there which are the second most he has at any venue in his career by one. He has 74 at High Point.
Hunter has 23 career overall podiums in the 450 class and is one away from tying John Dowd and Ryan Villopoto with 24. He’s two moto podiums away from tying Villopoto with 43.
Haiden Deegan
Haiden Deegan will hope to break his trend of a podium at every other round so far this season at Spring Creek. His overall finishes have been 5-3-6-3-6-3 to start his 450 career. His second moto finishes remain consistent going 4-3-3-3-3-2 in the six second motos in 2026. His starts keep improving. He has rounded lap one in the top five in four of the last five motos and in the top three in his last three motos. This is after he had three top five starts in his first seven motos.
Deegan won at Spring Creek in his final appearance on a 250 last year. He also earned the pole position that day. If he manages an overall win this weekend, it would be just Yamaha’s second overall win at Spring Creek in the 450 class since 1994.
Jorge Prado
Jorge Prado is in the midst of his best run of form since coming to the United States. His average overall finish over the last four rounds is 3.75. It is nearly twice as good as his second best rolling four race average which is 7.00. Prado had five top five moto finishes in 2025 and one of them came in moto two at Spring Creek. So far this season, he has nine top five moto finishes, six of them being podiums.
The last European to win at Spring Creek in the 450 class was fellow KTM rider Marvin Musquin in 2017. It was Musquin’s first 1-1 of his 450 career that day.
Garrett Marchbanks
Garrett Marchbanks is also in the best form of his 450 career when looking at a four race rolling average. His average finish over the last four has been 5.00 from Thunder Valley to Southwick. It’s his best average finish in a four race stretch since 2023 between those same two tracks. He averaged a 6.00 starting at Thunder Valley and finishing at Southwick that year.
Spring Creek is not one of Marchbanks’ best tracks in terms of average overall finish between both classes (11.83) but he did finish fifth on a 250 in 2025 and seventh on a 450 in 2023. So far this season, Marchbanks has the best overall finish (6.50) of any rider who has yet to finish on the overall podium. He is tied with Haiden Deegan with four top fives. Only the Lawrence brothers and Prado have more.
R.J. Hampshire
R.J. Hampshire is tied with Garrett Marchbanks for fifth in points as both riders have 183 through six rounds. Hampshire has been steady all season, finishing in the top ten of all twelve motos so far but that has only resulted in one top five overall. He has good memories from Spring Creek one year ago as he went 4-4 for fourth and qualified third which was a career best at the time. That was the first time he finished in the top five of both motos in his 450 career.
Hampshire has finished in the top ten at Spring Creek in nine of his ten visits there and he has three top five overalls, all coming from his three most recent appearances.
Eli Tomac
Eli Tomac is making his return to action for the first time since the opening lap of the season. Tomac has had a lot of success at Spring Creek in the past. He has three overall wins and six moto wins at the venue on a 450. His most recent win came in 2022. All of his overall wins and moto wins there have come via 1-1 performances.
He has seven podiums in nine starts at Spring Creek and is one away from tying Ricky Carmichael's 450 class track record of eight. Another overall win would give him four and tie him with Ryan Dungey for second most all time at the venue.
250 Class
Cole Davies
Cole Davies will enter Spring Creek with the red plate for the first time in his young motocross career. He is only the second rider from New Zealand to lead a points series in AMA motocross. Ben Townley was the first to do so in 2007. Not only is Davies leading the class in points through six rounds, he is doing so in multiple other categories: Overall podiums (4), moto wins (4), overall wins (2), holeshots (4), pole positions (3), average qualifying finish (2.17), and average first lap position (4.83).
Davies is sitting on two overall victories. The first rider to get three overall victories in a season goes onto win the championship 72.55% of the time in the 250 class, including the last four years in a row. Keeping the points lead is big through this seventh round because since 2014, the points leader after seven rounds has gone onto win the championship 11 out of 12 times.
Levi Kitchen
Spring Creek is Levi Kitchen’s second best track in terms of average overall finish (4.00) on the circuit. In 2024, it is where he earned his first 250 overall win and he did so with 1-1 moto scores, leading 19 laps on the day. That was his only podium finish in three visits as his other two results were a fifth in 2023 and a sixth in 2025.
Kitchen currently has 31 career moto podiums and if he can secure two more at Spring Creek, he would tie Adam Cianciarulo and Kevin Windham on the class moto podium leaderboard. In 2026 so far, Kitchen has done his damage in the first motos where he averages a finish of 2.67. That drops to a 6.17 in moto twos.
Julien Beaumer
Julien Beaumer has just one prior start at Spring Creek and it came in 2024 when he finished tenth overall. Beaumer has gotten better as the days of have gone on this season. He has four moto podiums this season and three of them have come in the second motos. He has finished in the top five in five of the six second motos so far compared to three of six in the first motos.
Beaumer’s average moto one finish is 7.17 and his average moto two finish is 5.67. KTM has just one win in the 250 class at Spring Creek and it came by way of Grant Langston on a 125 in 2001.
Ryder DiFrancesco
Ryder DiFrancesco is fifth in points and is averaging 27.83 points per round which is a career best mark for a season by over five points. DiFrancesco had a career best streak of eight straight top ten moto finishes going until moto two at Southwick when a crash relegated him to 24th place in the moto. His previous best streak of top ten moto finishes was four, set in 2023 and 2024.
His average moto score this season is 8.58 which is a career best. It’s over two positions more than his previous career best for a season which was 10.64. He will be looking to get Husqvarna just their third ever overall podium in the class at Spring Creek.
Chance Hymas
Chance Hymas has been making strides forward at each round so far in 2026. Over the last two rounds, he is averaging an overall finish of 6.50 which is tied for third best in the class among riders who have raced both of those rounds. After only having three motos in the top ten at the first three rounds, Hymas has had five in his last three rounds. His 32 point points haul at Southwick last week was his biggest haul of the season.
Hymas has only raced Spring Creek one time in 2024 and it initially started off great. He qualified fourth and secured fifth in the first moto before a first turn crash took him out immediately at the start of the second moto. He will be out this weekend to try and end his overall podium drought which now stands at seven, tied for the longest in his career.
Kayden Minear
Kayden Minear continues to improve in pro motocross. He had a career best fourth overall at Southwick one week ago. He narrowly missed the top ten overall at round one but has finished in the top ten at every race since. Only Cole Davies and Levi Kitchen have also rattled off five top tens in a row since round one.
Minear has a streak of seven straight top ten moto finishes which is the second longest active streak, only Kitchen has a longer one with ten. Minear is one of eight rides this season to have multiple moto podium finishes.
