450 Class
Hunter Lawrence
Hunter Lawrence enters Unadilla carrying a 12 point points lead. It is the largest it has been in the class this season. Since 2023, Hunter has finished no worse than second place in six straight motos at Unadilla. He has one moto win there and it came during his rookie season in the 450 class in 2024. He would go 1-2 for second overall that day.
Hunter is currently on a 38 moto top five streak, dating back to moto one at Fox Raceway in 2025. It is the sixth longest streak of all time in the class. If he top fives both motos this weekend, he will tie Ryan Dungey’s 40 for fifth all time. Ricky Carmichael has the record with 133.
Jett Lawrence
Jett Lawrence has never been defeated at Unadilla on a 450. He has won all four motos, both overalls, and finished on the pole position in both visits. It is the only track on the circuit where he remains unblemished in the class. Both of his 450 MX Championships were clinched early at the venue so he will surely have fond memories.
Jett is currently in the longest 1-1 drought of his entire 450 MX career. He hasn’t scored a 1-1 since round three at Thunder Valley. His previous longest drought was from rounds 7-9 in 2025. Jett is one pole position away from tying Eli Tomac with 26, most in the timed qualifying era. He needs two more moto podiums to tie Marvin Musquin with 66.
Haiden Deegan
Unadilla is the only track where Haiden Deegan has not won an overall victory in his MX career. In six career motos there he has led just four laps, the least among tracks where he has registered at least one lap led. Four of his six motos there though he finished on the podium, including a moto one win in 2024. In qualifying there, he averages a position of 6.33 with no poles, that’s the lowest average of any track he has raced.
Deegan does enter Unadilla in his best run of form in the 450 class. He has three straight podium overall finishes and three straight second place finishes in moto twos. He has been digging all season as he has a net gain of 107 positions from lap one to the finish. That’s the most in the class by 37 positions.
Jorge Prado
Jorge Prado has been enjoying one of the best runs of results in his AMA MX career over the past several rounds. Since moto two at Thunder Valley, he has finished outside the top five in a moto just one time. He has finished on the moto podium at least once at each of the past five rounds, dating back to High Point. Overall podiums have mostly eluded him in this stretch, with just one in the past seven races. He has been unlucky with 4-3 and 3-4s resulting in fourths.
Unadilla has been known to treat GP riders well over it’s storied history and it remains true in recent times. Non-USA riders have won six of the past eight 450 overalls at the venue. KTM has won three of the past eight.
R.J. Hampshire
R.J. Hampshire sits comfortably in fifth place in the points standings ahead of Unadilla. Hampshire continues to be the model of consistency through the early days of his 450 career. He has finished in the top ten overall in every career start and has only finished outside the top ten in one moto; A 12th in his second ever 450 moto. The last time he finished outside the top ten overall in either class was at Unadilla in 2023, unfortunately due to a big crash in moto two that resulted in a red flag.
Hampshire performed well at Unadilla in his first appearance there on a 450 in 2025. He went 4-5 for fourth overall. That was the third time he finished inside the top five in both motos on a 450. He now has six such races.
Justin Cooper
Justin Cooper is making his long awaited return at Unadilla after a big crash at Hangtown put him on the sidelines. The New York native has only completed three motos this season but he is one of eight riders with a moto podium and one of four Americans to do so. He did this all the way back at the season opener in moto one.
Unadilla has been a good track for Cooper over his career. He averages a finish of 4.38 there between both classes which is slightly better than his career average of 4.68. He finished second place there in the second moto of his rookie debut in 2017. He has fifty laps led at the venue with three overall podiums, all coming in the 250 class. In the 450 class, he has been slightly below his career 450 average of 5.21. His fifth and sixth place overalls there on a 450 give him an average of 5.50.
250 Class
Levi Kitchen
Levi Kitchen maintains a seven point points lead entering Unadilla, a track where he has good history. He struggled in 2025 to a 10th overall but the year prior, he went 2-1 to win the overall. In 2023, he had a second overall. His 31 laps led there are the most of any track he has raced. It’s the only one with more than 20. Despite his good finishes there, he has struggled in time qualifying with his best only being a 10th and averaging 14.50.
Kitchen is coming off a fifth overall at Washougal, despite 6-6 moto scores. That was the first time this season he has been outside the top five in both motos. The last time he did that, it was at Unadilla in 2025 and he bounced back the following round with a podium.
Cole Davies
Cole Davies got his championship chase back on track at the previous round at Washougal by going 1-1. He is the only rider this season to go 1-1 in the class and he has two of them. Davies leads the class in overall wins, podiums, moto wins, laps led, and pole positions so far this season.
Unadilla is the first track that Davies will race this season where he has prior professional experience. It is where he made his MX debut last season and he failed to finish in the top 20 in either moto. If Davies earns a win at Unadilla, it will be the fourth of his career, tying him with Levi Kitchen for most by an active rider in the class.
Ryder DiFrancesco
Ryder DiFrancesco will be coming into Unadilla on a high after his 2-2 performance at Washougal resulting in his best career finish of second overall. Unadilla is his fourth best track in terms of average overall finish and it is one of three tracks where he has recorded a lap led. If his good form from this season continues, he will create a lot of venue bests as his best moto and overall finish at the venue is eighth.
A win for DiFrancesco would be his first and Husqvarna’s first in the class at Unadilla. The manufacturer only has two overall podiums at the venue.
Julien Beaumer
Julien Beaumer will be looking to return to the podium after a sixth place at Washougal, just one round after he earned his first overall win. Beaumer has raced Unadilla twice and scored a ninth and more recently a fifth, in 2025. It is his fourth best track in terms of average overall finish.
Better starts would help Beaumer get going towards the front. He averages a first lap position of 10.19 which is actually the second best among riders still in the series. He has made a net gain of 68 positions from lap one to the finish this season which is the second most in the class.
Chance Hymas
Chance Hymas has strung together two podiums in a row at the previous two races after not earning one at the first six rounds. Hymas is finding his groove and is entering a track, Unadilla, where he has shown speed but not results. He earned the pole position there in 2024 but crashed out of the motos. It is one of seven tracks he has laps led at (10). If Hymas earns another podium at Unadilla, it would be the longest podium streak of his career (3).
Hymas currently has seven career overall podiums in the class and another one would tie him with Jeremy McGrath and five other riders with eight. He has 131 career laps led and is six away from Trey Canard’s 137 in the class.
Carson Mumford
Carson Mumford has been on a tear throughout the whole season but especially over the past few rounds. Mumford has four straight top ten finishes for the first time in his career. His top ten percentage this season is 62.5%. Before the season began, it was 40.00%.
Mumford has three top five moto finishes in the last three motos. Before that streak started, he had one in his entire career. His qualifying average at Unadilla is 9.75, second best on the circuit. However, his overall results have been a struggle at the venue and a top ten would be his first there.
