Tomac vs Barcia
Eli Tomac and Justin Barcia raced against each other 275 times, tied for the most with Ken Roczen. Barcia was unable to race the final round of the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship or else he would have stood alone for most races alongside Tomac. Their first meeting in the pro ranks was at Hangtown in 2010. That was Tomac's full professional debut in which he famously won. That race was the start of Barcia's second pro season and he would go 5-7 for fifth overall on the day.
Their final meeting was in Carson, California at round two of the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship. Tomac got the better of Barcia by finishing ninth overall to Barcia's 24th. Unfortunately for Barcia, his night ended prematurely due to injury, hence his last place finish.
Tomac vs Roczen
When the two legendary riders lined up against each other in Ridgedale, Missouri for the final round of the 2026 SuperMotocross World Championship, it was their 275th matchup. Roczen got the better of him on the night, going 2-5 for fourth overall while Tomac fought through the emotions of his final career race to finish 13-11 for twelfth overall.
These two riders lined up against each other for the first time at Anaheim 1 in 2011. It was Roczen's first professional race in the United States and Tomac's first career Supercross appearance. Neither of them fared too well, both finishing outside the top five. Roczen did finish the better of the two by finishing seventh to Tomac's tenth. Josh Hansen was the main event winner on the night.
Tomac vs Anderson
Tomac and Jason Anderson matched up a whopping 269 times in their professional careers. Anderson from New Mexico, and Tomac from Colorado, they grew up in the same region and have been racing together since mini bikes. Their first matchup in the pro ranks was at Hangtown in 2011. It was Anderson's pro motocross debut and the start of Tomac's second pro motocross season. Tomac could not repeat his 2010 win but he did lead laps before ultimately finishing fourth overall with 3-4 moto scores. Anderson would miss out on the top ten with his 11-12 moto scores putting him twelfth.
Their final meeting was also in these 2026 SMX Playoffs. This time it was at round one in the mud of Columbus. Due to a strong fifth place in moto one, Anderson held onto get twelfth overall despite DNF-ing the final moto due to injury. He narrowly finished ahead of Tomac who finished fourteenth via 15-13 moto scores.
